A magnificent old tree, its branches reaching skyward and its roots holding firmly to the earth.

Ancient Wisdom celebrates the extraordinary beauty and character of old trees — their twisting branches, weathered trunks and wonderful sense of endurance.

Inspired by the ancient trees that have stood for generations, this striking circular pendant features an intricately hand-sawn tree, its sweeping trunk and sprawling branches reaching across the silver. Delicate openings between the leaves create a beautiful interplay of light and shadow, while the exposed roots give the design a wonderful sense of strength and connection to the earth.

Every tiny opening has been individually pierced and carefully sawn by hand from a sheet of recycled sterling silver. It is a wonderfully time-consuming and intricate process, requiring patience, precision and a great deal of care.

The result is a bold, sculptural piece that celebrates both the beauty of the natural world and the traditional art of silversmithing.

Finished with a soft satin surface, the pendant retains the subtle marks and character of its handmade beginnings. Each little irregularity is part of its story, making this a truly individual piece of jewellery.
